Learn to Operate a Small Tractor

Dryden Lawn & Recreation, Route 13, Dryden NY
An increasing number of rural landowners and new farmers are seeking to learn how to operate small farm tractors. In response, Cornell Cooperative Extension South Central NY Agriculture Program has arranged a workshop on buying and operating tractors. Instruction will be provided by Dryden Lawn & Recreation store owner Steve Carpenter and by David Buck, Lansing farmer, who has been a 4-H Tractor Safety course instructor for many years. The focus of the class will be on buying used and new equipment, tractor operation, maintenance, common implements, and safety. Class participants will get a close-up hands-on opportunity to learn about tractors. There is a $5/per person fee to attend.
